Lee Vern Sen (Vincent)

Lee Vern Sen graduated from Northumbria University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2014 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in January 2018 after completing his pupillage at Messrs Yong Dan Rakan-Rakan.
He later joined Messrs Tay Chai Huat & Co. as an associate, where he managed a diverse portfolio of civil disputes, including debt recovery, contractual and tenancy disputes, family law matters and personal injury claims. Vern Sen has represented both individuals and corporations at all levels of the Malaysian courts.
Beyond litigation, he is well-versed in employment and industrial relations, intellectual property, bankruptcy and corporate insolvency. His breadth of experience and pragmatic approach enable him to deliver practical and effective solutions to clients. In recognition of his capability, he succeeded as Head of the General Dispute Resolution Department in 2019.
Motivated by a vision to build a practice founded on professionalism and integrity, Vern Sen co-founded Messrs Yan Fei, Vern & Partners. With the support of his mentors and peers, he continues to embrace new challenges and opportunities in pursuit of professional excellence.
Vern Sen was also a member of the IT, Innovation & Future in Technology Committee [2020/2021] in Malaysian Bar.
Represented clients from various industries in resolving disputes involving land and property, contractual issues, negligence, construction defects and other civil matters.
Acted for a renowned seafood restaurant chain in the Klang Valley in a breach of contract claim against a Malaysian manpower agency.
Represented a partnership in a professional negligence suit against a law firm.
Assisted in obtaining vacant possession of land worth RM3.85 million from a petrochemical company that refused to vacate after the property was successfully sold at auction.
Represented a prominent public-listed company in multiple matters involving an accumulated value exceeding RM100 million, including debt recovery actions for over 200 subsidiary companies and defending them in various lawsuits.
Acted for a leading concrete supplier in a dispute concerning the quality of ready-mixed concrete supplied.
Successfully recovered a six-figure debt from a subsidiary of a public-listed property development company in Malaysia through litigation and negotiation.
Assisted a client in recovering rental arrears by seizing a billboard valued at RM100,000 located along the North–South Expressway near Seberang Perai, Penang, via distress proceedings.
Successfully defended an education centre in a lawsuit brought by a former student alleging wrongful termination.
Represented a landlord and successfully recovered vacant possession, rental arrears and utility charges from a defaulting tenant after a full trial.
Represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and motor vehicle accident claims.
Represented a Joint Management Body (JMB) in recovering outstanding maintenance charges from 79 defaulters and assisted in proceedings before the Strata Management Tribunal.
Provided advisory services to both employers and employees on various aspects of employment law, including termination, retrenchment, drafting employment contracts and handbooks and performance improvement plans.
Advised clients on the protection of intellectual property rights locally and internationally and successfully registered numerous trademarks for Malaysian companies and businesses.
Experienced in family law and estate matters, including matrimonial disputes, adoption, recognition of overseas divorce orders, probate and letters of administration, resealing of foreign grants and drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trust deeds, deeds of family arrangement and powers of attorney.
Actively involved in commercial debt recovery and insolvency proceedings.
